How to Donate to the ETRC

How to Donate to the ETRC

Physical Materials

At the East Texas Research Center, we have many types of collections from all over the East Texas region. Our archive includes personal and business collections that have been generously donated by our community members. You may view some of our collections that have been digitized at the following link, https://digital.sfasu.edu/. Below is a non-comprehensive list of what we accept and do not. There are certain considerations with ALL donations, so if it is not listed, please email us at asketrc@sfasu.edu to discuss.

Types of materials accepted:

  • Photographs
  • Diaries / Journal
  • Letters
  • Business / Organization Records
  • SFA-related material

Types of materials not typically accepted:

  • Artifacts
  • Furniture
  • Biological materials (hair, teeth, etc.)
  • SFA Yearbooks

Monetary Donations

The ETRC works within a limited budget. Donations of money helps us be able to hire workers to help with projects, purchase hardware, and buy archival materials to help maintain the collections.

If you would like to donate online, please follow the below steps. It is important to do all steps to make sure that the funds go to the correct place.

  1. Click here to be directed to the donate website (will open another window);
  2. Choose which type of donation (one-time or recurring) and the amount;
  3. In the drop-down box below that, choose Ralph W. Steen Library;
  4. In the next box ("Specific Designation") type in East Texas Research Center
  5. Fill out the rest of the information as required.

The East Texas Research Center appreciates any type or amount of donation, as this helps us grow our collections, maintain archival materials, and purchase needed materials.

If you are unsure about how or what to donate, please contact us at asketrc@sfasu.edu and we would be happy to discuss your donation!
