Terms & Conditions

  • Study rooms may be used by SFA students, faculty, or staff only.
  • Users must reserve study rooms online through the Steen Library website (https://sfasu.libcal.com/spaces?lid=7577).
  • Rooms may be reserved in 15 minute increments, with each user limited to no more than 4 hours per day. 
  • At the time of reservation, user must present themselves at the Library Services Desk with their SFA ID to check out a key or key card.
  • Reserved rooms will be held for 10 minutes after the reservation time, after which the room may be made available to other users on a first come, first served basis.
  • At the end of the reservation, users are expected to leave the room clean and orderly.
  • Users must vacate the room by the end of the reservation period and return the key or key card to the Library Services Desk.
  • Patrons who become disruptive, obstruct study room windows, or interfere with Study Room services will forfeit study room privileges.
  • Failure to vacate the room in a timely manner will result in temporary or indefinite forfeiture of study room privileges.
    1. First Offense: Written Warning
    2. Second Offense: 30 Day Forfeiture
    3. Third Offense: 60 Day Forfeiture
    4. Fourth Offense: 90 Forfeiture
    5. Indefinitely for Fifth Offense
